The Senior ISD is a key member of our capability/talent development team, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality and engaging learning artifacts and services/products. This role entails in-depth knowledge of ISD principles and methodologies, experience with learning authoring tools and LMS/LXPs, and the ability to create effective learning experiences that strategically incorporate elements of games and gamification, explore immersive technologies, and leverage new learning technologies to enhance learner engagement and outcomes across both macro learning programs and targeted micro learning initiatives. The ideal candidate will be culturally sensitive and design accessible learning for diverse learners.
Responsibilities
Learning Experience Design:
- Apply learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to design impactful and engaging macro learning programs and focused micro learning modules that meet specific learning objectives, with consideration for incorporating game-based learning and gamification strategies and exploring immersive learning opportunities.
- Employ a human-centric approach to design learning journeys that optimize the learner experience across various learning durations, exploring opportunities for integrating immersive technologies and other new learning technologies within both comprehensive and concise learning formats.
Compelling Content Creation & Adaptation:
- Develop original and accurate learning content across various digital media (e.g., text, images, video scripts, interactive elements, game mechanics, immersive scenarios) suitable for both in-depth macro learning and just-in-time micro learning.
- Source relevant content and structure it logically for effective learning across different learning scales, considering how new technologies can enhance content delivery in both extended and brief formats.
- Adapt existing content for different digital formats and cultural contexts, exploring how gamification and immersive technologies can improve cultural relevance and engagement in both comprehensive and focused learning.
- Utilize AI-powered tools (e.g., Grammarly, basic plagiarism checkers) to enhance efficiency and quality in content creation for all learning formats.
Culturally Intelligent & Inclusive Design:
- Design and develop learning content for both macro and micro learning that is culturally sensitive and inclusive of diverse backgrounds, considering how games, gamification, and immersive technologies can be designed inclusively across different learning durations.
- Work effectively with SMEs to ensure cultural appropriateness of content, examples, and game elements within both comprehensive programs and short modules.
- Consider potential linguistic nuances and adapt content, accordingly, including text within games and instructions for immersive activities in both macro learning and micro learning.
- Ensure accessibility for learners with diverse needs, adhering to basic accessibility guidelines, including considerations for interacting with games and immersive experiences across all learning formats.
Digital Learning Development & Deployment:
- Proficiently use one or more e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia) to create interactive and engaging modules for both macro learning and micro learning, potentially incorporating basic gamification elements and exploring integrations with immersive technology platforms.
- Explore and experiment with integrating basic immersive elements or simulations within authoring tools or through external platforms for use in both extended and short learning experiences.
- Effectively manage and upload content within an LMS, understanding how game-based learning or immersive content might be integrated or linked for both macro learning programs and individual micro learning assets.
- Integrate multimedia elements (e.g., audio, video, graphics) seamlessly within e-learning modules and explore their potential within immersive environments for both in-depth and concise learning.
Excellence In Quality & Impact:
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance processes for e-learning modules across both macro learning and micro learning, including testing the functionality of game mechanics and basic immersive interactions.
- Conduct thorough testing for functionality, accuracy, and usability across different devices and platforms, including basic immersive hardware if available, for all learning formats.
- Effectively gather, analyze, and integrate feedback from customers and learners to improve learning solutions, including feedback on the engagement and effectiveness of game and immersive elements within both comprehensive programs and short modules.
- Ensure adherence to accessibility standards, considering the accessibility of games and immersive experiences across all learning durations.

- Communicate proactively and professionally with stakeholders throughout the program/project process, including discussions around the integration of new learning technologies, including immersive options.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in ISD, Educational Technology, Learning Sciences, Game Design, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (6-7 years) in designing and developing engaging learning experiences and learning services/products, including experience with gamification and exposure to immersive technologies or other new learning technologies.
- Strong understanding of learning theories and ISD models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and their application to both macro and micro learning.
- Proficient in using one or more learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).
- Experience managing and uploading content within an LMS/LXPs.
- Demonstrated ability to create interactive and engaging learning experiences, including complex interactions and basic game mechanics.
- Familiarity with basic principles of game design and potential applications of immersive technologies in learning.
- Understanding of basic accessibility features within authoring tools and LMS/LXPs, as well as considerations for games and immersive experiences.
- Experience in gathering and incorporating feedback from stakeholders.
- Awareness of cultural sensitivity and inclusive design principles.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and program/project management skills.
- Familiarity with AI-powered tools for content creation is a plus.
- Deep understanding of AGILE methodologies and extensive experience working within a learning, educational technology, or complex content delivery environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer locations as needed.
